Boy does time fly! I can not believe that Colton is already four months old. He is just getting so big, and is starting to show more of his personality. He is still a cuddley and snuggely little guy, with lots of energy. He is always full of smiles and giggles and coos, but he sure has become quite the little talker lately. His favorite things to do are jump in his jumparoo, swing in his swing, go for walks in his stroller, and sit in his bumbo!

His least favorite thing to do is tummy time! He starts out fine for a few seconds, then it is all over! I'm sure he feels it is cruel and unusual punishmet, but we need to get rid of that flat head.
Let's see, what else has been going on? At the end of February, we moved out to Saratoga Springs in a house just down the street from the house that Robert is building for us. I don't think we could have done it without the help of everyone, thanks! The first couple of days we were in the house, we had some fun memories. That first night in the house, Robert and I were throwing a football, he was in the kitchen and I was in the living room. Well I threw it to him, but it was a little low, and I hit a container of baby formula that was sitting on the counter right in front of him. It went all over the place, including him. I wish I had a video camera at that moment. It was classic.
Then, the next morning, we were giving Colton a bath in his tub on the bathroom counter. He was having a good time, then all of a sudden, he started peeing on the mirror. He was just looking at himself in the mirror, like he knew exactly what he was doing. It was pretty funny. That same day we went over to mom and dad’s for dinner. After dinner Grandpa Whetstone was holding Colton, when Grandma saw a little booger in his nose. So she grabbed a Q-tip and fished it out. When she was done, Colton just gave her this look, and would not take his eyes off her. He was also punching his right fist into his left hand as if to say, “I’m gonna get you for this.” It was too cute!
Also, Colton has started to get a little more interested in toys. Up until about a month and a half ago, he would mostly just look at them while I played with them or dangled them in his face. But now he started to hold them, and play with them. One time I gave him a stuffed gorilla. He held his arm, looked at it for a minute then chucked it, and looked at me like, “ Is that the best you can give me?” He’s also started to mimic some things that we do to him, like stick out our tongues and make noises to him. The other day, we were at Babies R Us, and I stuck my tongue out in between my lips, and blew a little bit, I guess it was spitting with my tongue out, but he started spitting back to me like that , so I did it again. Pretty soon, we were walking through the store spitting back and forth at each other. I'm sure we were quite the sight!
A couple of weeks ago, we had his 4 month doctor visit, and I don’t know who had a harder time with it, me or him. He had to get his immunizations, and that is always so hard for me to watch. They make him lay on the table, with his legs hanging off, then the nurse pins his legs with her thighs, and gives him an awful oral vaccination, then pokes him three times in the thighs with these long needles. I feel so bad for the little guy. On the way home, I looked at him in the mirror, and he curled his bottom lip, and started to cry so softly. It broke my heart, All I could do was just tell him that we would be home soon, and that I would hold him and take care of him. It was sad.
One cute little thing that happened yesterday, we were just coming home from the store, and he had fallen asleep in the car. When I brought him in to the house, he started sleep talking. I guess he must take after Grandpa Whetstone. (hee hee)
Oh, I almost forgot, we took him to his first bowling trip with the family Easter weekend! It was lots of fun, but as you can see, it pooped him out!

Well, that is it for now. I better help Robert pack up some boxes. We are moving today, so next blog, we'll have to show some pics of the house!
