Colton's First Haircut!

Well, we finally did it! We took Colton to get his first haircut. I wanted to wait until he was a year old, but I gave in because he was looking a little shaggy.
Here is the before...

And here is the after...

As you can see, he was not to happy with his stylist. He had a hard time sitting still, and he wanted to follow the scissors, but he did love when she used the clippers. Over all, he did great!

Other than that not too much is new since last post! (Can you believe I did two in the same week)He is getting a little better with the army crawl, and is pulling himself up on just about anything he can. The other night I woke up and decided to go check on him. He wasn't crying or anything, so I really don't know why I decided to take a peek, but I'm glad I did. I opened his bedroom door, and to my surprise (and horror) he had cimbed up in his crib and was half way over the rail. I don't know if he would have made it over or not, but it was pretty scary. I took him into my room, and kicked Robert out of bed so that I didn't have to worry the rest of the night. The next day Robert lowered the mattress. We hoped that it would solve the problem, but no such luck. I think he feels like his crib is a little playground now. It is nearly impossible to put him down for a nap or bedtime any more, because he rolls over, sits up and is climbing before I can leave the room. In fact yesterday I tried to put him down for a nap, and he did just that. I left the room hoping that he would wear himself out. Well I had just sat down on the couch when all of a sudden he was screaming. After a couple minutes I went to check on him, and I found him sitting in the corner of his crib. He was happy once he saw me, but did not try to climb up and get me. It was then that I noticed his arm was stuck in the rails. Poor guy, It was really stuck! Here is our little climber in action. (sporting his new look)

I love the happy "before" picture, and the crying "after" picture! Looks good, Colton! And I love the grunting crawl to the A&W can in the previous post--you are one focused little man!

Wow! You have your hands full. He is so cute though! My brother was a climber and my parents had to buy a hospital net to tie over the top of the crib every night so Rick wouldn't climb out.

Cute haircut! Does the side rail go up any further? Or was it just down in the picure? It seems low. Cailin's goes up to her neck with the mattress all the way down. I have seen special net-tents you can buy to cover the crib, too. Luckily, none of my kids have been climbers! Good luck! Oh, ya, I also loved that crawling video! I love how he grips the carpet to help him along!
